What are import duties and why do I have to pay them?
Import duties, also known as customs duties, are taxes charged by a country's government on imported goods. These taxes are typically calculated as a percentage of the total value of the goods being imported, and the revenue generated from them is collected by the country's customs authorities. The commodity code and country of origin will determine the import duty percentage or rate.
What are import anti-dumping duties and why do I have to pay them?
Import anti-dumping duties are specific import duties that are levied on goods that are being sold in the importing country at prices lower than the normal value of similar goods in the exporting country. The aim of these duties is to protect domestic industries from unfair competition caused by the dumping of foreign goods at artificially low prices. What is the Brokerage fee for?
The brokerage fee is a payment to AVASK for completing the export and import declaration. The fee is 60.00EUR plus an additional 5.00EUR per extra HS code. The first 3 HS codes are included.
How do I approve the commercial invoice?
To approve the commercial invoices online, follow the link and select 'My Clearances' and find the FBA reference that needs approving. Click on the 'Tick' icon to open a preview of the invoice. Once you are happy to proceed, scroll to the very bottom of the page and there will be the 'Approve' button. Please refresh the page after approving to update your changes to the portal.
I have parcels / units missing from my delivery, what can I do?

How do I obtain an invoice for our brokerage fee?
You can download the payment invoice for your brokerage fee on the AVASK portal. Please select the 'My Bookings' tab and you can download individual invoices there.
Do I have to include the contents for each parcel on the AVASK portal?
Yes. AVASK require the number of ASIN's and units that are present in each box of your consignment.
Where do I obtain my FBA reference number?
This is obtained on Seller Central when you create a new inventory booking.
Are there any products which are not able to be sent?
Yes, for a full list of products which cannot be sent click here.
Do you require the CE certification?
You should ensure that you have the latest compliance documents when sending your products across a customs border. These may be requested by customs officials.

There is currently no direct tracking available, although please send an e-mail to pcpshipments@avaskgroup.com listing your FBA reference in the subject to receive an update.

Will I have to pay import VAT when sending products to France?
Import VAT is deferred when importing into France by default if you are filing French VAT.
Will I have to pay import VAT when sending products to Germany?
AVASK utilise Limited Fiscal Representation when sending goods from the UK to Germany. The goods are cleared via Netherlands, so import VAT is not required to be paid. You will need to log an acquisition on your German VAT filings, which AVASK will provide the information on how to do.
Will I have to pay import VAT when sending products to United Kingdom?
Import VAT can be deferred to your quarterly VAT filings when importing into the UK. You will need to ensure that you inform AVASK that you would like to utilise Postponed VAT Accounting (PvA) and that your VAT agent in the UK files correctly.
What is the transit time?
The transit time is approximately 5 working days after your consignment arrives at Weybridge or Krefeld.
My products have ended up in my UK inventory instead of EU inventory. How has this happened?
The most common reason for this is below:
- Your courier was given the incorrect delivery address.
- Your courier delivered this to the incorrect address.
- The Send to Amazon workflow was not used.

I have received import paperwork, what do I need to do?
You should keep this paperwork as proof of import and ensure that you inform your VAT agent, as long as anybody else who may require this document.
I have received an acquisition statement, what do I need to do?
You will need to follow the instructions on the e-mail. AVASK need the document to be signed and returned. The acquisition would need to be lodged on your VAT returns, so you would need to ensure that you send this to your VAT agent.
I have received an invoice for import duties, what do I need to do?
This is an invoice which is payable to AVASK. You will need to make the payment ASAP.
Which courier companies can I use to send my consignments to Weybridge / Krefeld?
Weybridge: UPS / DPD.
Krefeld: DPD only.
My shipment has been delivered to Weybridge, but it has not been checked into Amazon FBA. Where is it?
Your consignment is most likely in transit between Weybridge and the final Amazon destination centre. Please send an e-mail to pcpshipments@avaskgroup.com listing your FBA reference in the subject to receive an update.

Do I need both a UK and an EU EORI number to onboard?
Yes, you would need both a GB EORI number and an EU EORI number. AVASK can assist in obtaining these as part of the onboarding procedure.
How long does onboarding take?
Onboarding can be completed in 1 day. Once the form has been completed, AVASK will reach out shortly to confirm the next steps. Typically it would take approx. 2-3 working days if you have all of the information required.
